Biographical Presentation
Strein: Johann St., Kanonist, geboren zu Waldürn (jetzt Baden) im J. 1584, † zu Bamberg am 10. Februar 1663. Er trat am 22. September 1604 in die Gesellschaft Jesu ein, wurde Mag. philos., Dr. theol., Professor der Theologie und erster Lehrer des Kirchenrechts an der 1648 errichteten Akademie in Bamberg, nahm auch theil an dem 1652 abgehaltenen Generalcapitel des Ordens. Schriften: „Flos iuris canonici de personis ecclesiasticis“. 1652. 12°. „Fructus iuris can. in Bamberg, academiae area collectus de iudiciis". eod. 12°."Syntagma canonico-politicum de conventionibus, pactis et contractibus“. 1655. 12°, alle Bamberg. Alle drei sind neu verarbeitet in „Summa iuris can. comprehensa tribus partibus, in qua distincte et succincte explicantur, quae ad personas, negotia et iudicia eccles. ex canonum praescriptis pertinent. Accedit commentarius in regulas iuris pontificii et iuris utriusque antinomia cet.“ P. 1—3, 5 Köln 1658, 4°, ib. 1659. 4°. Ein vielgebrauchtes Buch.
