    Stavinsky: David St., Rechtsgelehrter, geboren am 26. August 1668 zu Lankheim bei Königsberg, † am 8. April 1722 in letzterer Stadt. St. erhielt seine humanistische und juristische Bildung in Königsberg und Halle; an letzterer Hochschule erwarb er unter Samuel Stryck's Vorsitz mit der Dissertation: „de foro ministrorum principis“ 1694 das juristische Licentiat, und 1702 die Würde eines Doctors beider Rechte. Einige Jahre früher (1697) war St. in Königsberg außerordentlicher Professor der Rechte und Hofgerichtsadvocat geworden und wurde 1716 zum dritten ord. Professor der Rechte dortselbst ernannt, in welcher Eigenschaft er 1722 im 54. Lebensjahre mit Tode abging. St. verfaßte von 1695 bis 1714 theils in Halle, theils in Königsberg eine größere Reihe von Disputationen; u. a. „De donationibus principis Imperii“ (Halle 1697); „De negotiis, in quibus cessat evictionis praestatio“ (Königsberg 1698); „De justa restitutione rei alienae“ (ebenda 1701); „De jure occupandi res hostiles“ (ebenda 1707).
