  • Biographical Presentation

    Stainpacher: Placidus St. (Steinbacher), Benedictiner, † am 15. December 1720. Er trat zu Mallersdorf in Baiern in den Orden ein, war einige Zeit Regens des Convicts zu Salzburg, dann Professor am Studium commune der bairischen Benedictiner-Congregation, wurde 1694 Abt von Frauenzell in Unterbaiern, später auch Generalvorsteher der genannten Congregation. Gedruckt ist von ihm ein „Tractatus de virtute poenitentiae“ 1693.
