Biographical Presentation
Slevogt: Johann Adrian S., Professor der Anatomie, Chirurgie und Botanik zu Jena seit 1685, daselbst 1653 geboren, studirte und promovirte in seiner Vaterstadt und war hier zunächst von 1681 ab Physicus. 1722 vertauschte er die oben genannte Stellung mit der Professur der praktischen Medicin und Chemie, die er bis zu seinem am 29. August 1726 erfolgten Lebensende inne hatte. Slevogt's schriftstellerische Thätigkeit documentirt eine große Zahl von an sich nicht bedeutenden Dissertationen, Programmen, akademischen Gelegenheitsreden über die verschiedenartigsten Gebiete der Medicin, Chirurgie und Geburtshülfe. Ein Verzeichniß derselben — ich zähle etwa 129 — umfaßt im Dictionnaire historique par Dezeimeris etwa 3½ Seiten in gr. 8°.
