Biographical Presentation
Carpzov: Konrad C., Jurist, ältester Sohn von Benedict C. I., geb. zu Wittenberg 11. Juli 1593, wurde mit seinem Bruder Benedict C. II. erzogen und theilte mit ihm gleiches Schicksal bis zur beiderseitigen gemeinsamen Promotion in Wittenberg (1619). Dann Hofrath bei Herzog Franz in Pommern. 1621 Rechtsprofessor in Wittenberg, ferner Assessor im Hofgericht und im Consistorium, Mitglied des Dresdner Appellationsgerichtes. 1636 kursächsischer Gesandter beim Kurfürstentag zu Regensburg zur Wahl Ferdinands III. als römischer König. Von 1638 an Kanzler und geheimer Rath bei Herzog August zu Sachsen, welcher als Administrator des vormaligen Erzstiftes Magdeburg zu Halle Hof hielt und Stammvater des herzoglich sachsen-weißenfelsischen Hauses wurde. Konrad C. starb am 12. Februar 1658. Ein Verzeichniß seiner zahlreichen Dissertationen gibt Jugler, Beiträge I. S. 276 ff.
