Biography
Schenk: Heinr. Theobald S., aus einem hessischen Dorf bei Alsfeld gebürtig, starb am 11. April 1727 als Stadtpfarrer in Gießen. Rambach nahm in sein Hessen-Darmstädtisches Gesangbuch (vgl. A. D. B. XXVII, 199) das seitdem allverbreitete Lied von ihm auf: „Wer sind die vor Gottes Throne?“
