  • Biographical Presentation

    A. studierte in München und in Würzburg, wo er Assistent bei F. W. Scanzoni wurde. Um sich in der Gynäkologie weiter auszubilden, unternahm er ausgedehnte Studienreisen; zuletzt war er bei J. Simpson in Edinburgh. Er machte sich verdient um die Einführung der Gynäkologie in München. 1874 wurde er dort außerordentlicher Professor an der gynäkologischen Poliklinik, 1884 Vorstand der von ihm begründeten gynäkologischen Klinik. 1894 zum Hofrat ernannt, trat er 1898 in den Ruhestand.
