Biographical Presentation
Müller: Peter M., Dichter eines frischen Liedes, das im Anfang des Jahres 1499 entstand und sich auf den Krieg zwischen dem schwäbischen Städtebund und der schweizerischen Eidgenossenschaft bezieht. Der kecke herausfordernde Ton desselben drückt den Muth und das Siegesvertrauen der wieder geeinten Schweizer trefflich aus. Der Dichter war aus Rapperswyl am Zürichsee und bezeichnet sich selbst als einen Schweizerknaben, der im Rheinthal im Appenzeller Gebiet sitze. Später lebte er in Luzern. Am Schluß seines Liedes verheißt er noch mehr zu singen, doch ist nur dies eine Lied von ihm bekannt.
