    Moebius: Georg M., geb. am 18. Decbr. 1616 zu Laucha in Thüringen, studirte in Jena und Leipzig, ward 1647 Rector am Gymnasium zu Merseburg, 1668 Professor und Dr. der Theologie zu Leipzig, Canonicus zu Zeitz, dann zu Meißen, † am 28. Novbr. 1697 (Jöcher, Gel.-Lex. Bd. 3, S. 566). — Zu der großen Anzahl seiner nunmehr vergessenen und bedeutungslosen Schriften, welche Jöcher a. a. O. S. 566 und 567 aufführt, ist die dort nicht erwähnte „De arca Noae“, Lips. 1686 zu fügen, aus welcher hervorgeht, daß die Arche jetzt noch zum größten Theile hart wie Stein auf dem Berge Ararat steht.
