Biographical Presentation
Buddeus: Georg Karl Immanuel B., geb. 6. Febr. 1739 zu Gotha, † 2. Dec. 1814 zu Stedten bei Erfurt, war der Sohn des im J. 1753 verstorbenen Vicekanzlers Karl Franz B. zu Gotha. Er war herzoglicher Kriegssecretär und war im J. 1808 pensionirt worden. Er war als Gelegenheitsdichter bekannt und wegen seiner ebenso originellen als frohen und heitern Laune, sowie wegen seines biedern und menschenfreundlichen Charakters allgemein beliebt. Er schrieb: „Gedichte“ (1789 und 1815) und „Franz von Sickingen“ (1794).
