  • Biographical Presentation

    Mauritii: Anna Maria M. oder auch Mauritzin, ist die Tochter von Martin Mauritii, der zu Effringen in Baden-Durlach um 1670 als Prediger stand. Sie hat eine große Anzahl geistlicher Lieder gedichtet, von denen, wahrscheinlich nach ihrem Tode (?), ihr Bruder, Christoph M. († am 20. November 1731 als Superintendent zu Lörrach), eine Auswahl veröffentlichte. Diese Sammlung erschien zu Nürnberg im J. 1708 unter dem Titel: „Ausgeschüttete Salbe oder geistliche Liebesgedichte über die .... Christo beigelegten Namen". Zwei dieser Lieder, nämlich das Lied: „Frisch auf, verzagtes Herz, wirf durch den Heldenmuth“, und das Lied: „Jesu, wenn ich nur dich habe, ob mir sonst gleich all's gebricht“, nahm Freylinghausen in den zweiten Theil seines Gesangbuches (1714) auf, und diese haben von hier aus auch den Weg in mehrere Gemeindegesangbücher gefunden.
