  • Biography

    Lucas, Prämonstratenser, in Deutschland geboren, erster Abt des Klosters Mont Cornillon bei Lüttich († ca. 1178), hinterließ eine große Zahl von Schriften, welche von Trithemius aufgezählt werden, aber sämmtlich verloren gegangen zu sein scheinen bis auf einen Commentar über das Hohelied, von welchem ein Theil abgedruckt sich findet in der von Joh. Fabri veranstalteten Ausgabe der allegorischen Erklärung desselben biblischen Buches durch den dem 7. Jahrhundert angehörigen Aponius (Freiburg 1538, Fol.), und von da in die Bibliotheca Patrum überging.
