Biographical Presentation
Loos: Daniel Friedrich L., Stempelschneider. Geb. zu Altenburg am 15. Juni 1735, † zu Berlin am 1. October 1819 als königl. preußischer Hofmedailleur, Mitglied und Assessor im Senate der königl. Akademie der bildenden Künste. Am 1. Mai 1816 diente er dem Staate 60 Jahre mit Treue und Auszeichnung, wie die schöne von Gottlieb Goetze gefertigte Bronzemedaille auf ihn sagt. Von 1756 an war L. 11 Jahre lang in Magdeburg thätig, worauf er in Berlin als Stempelschneider arbeitete.
