    Weber: Ferdinand W. Ritter von Ebenhof, Geburtshelfer in Prag, geboren zu Cerhenic in Böhmen am 30. April 1819 und am 27. Juli 1893 in Prag verstorben, studirte daselbst unter Hyrtl, Oppolzer, Pitha, Kiwisch, erlangte 1843 die Doctorwürde, war anfangs Assistenz- bezw. Secundararzt an verschiedenen Abtheilungen des allgemeinen Krankenhauses und der Irrenanstalt, darauf Choleraarzt in Galizien, von 1849—54 Kreisarzt in Zolkiew, von 1854—70 Professor der Geburtshülfe in Lemberg für Wundärzte und Hebammen in deutscher und polnischer Sprache, gleichzeitig 1854—55 Chefarzt eines Militärspitals und 1855 Chefarzt des Choleraspitals der Stadt Lemberg, wurde 1870 Professor der Geburtshülfe für Hebammen in Prag, 1872 Mitglied des Landes-Sanitätsrathes, 1874 Leiter der Landes-Gebär- und Findelanstalt für Böhmen und Mitglied des städt. Sanitätsrathes. W., der noch einen Tag vor seinem Tode sein 50jähriges Doctorjubiläum feierte, ist Verfasser zahlreicher Journalaufsätze über Gegenstände aus seinem Specialgebiet, einer Brochure: „Das antiseptische Verfahren in der Geburtshülfe. Ein Leitfaden für Geburtshelferinnen etc.“ (Prag 1879), sowie eines Lehrbuchs der Geburtshülfe in deutscher und böhmischer Sprache.
