  • Biographical Presentation

    Berswordt: Johann von der B., Herr zu Husten in Westfalen, westfälischer Geschichtsschreiber, geb. 1574 (Sohn von Johann v. d. B., † 1591 und Margarethe Mumm), † 24. Febr. 1640. Er verfaßte eine (handschriftlich vorhandene) „Historia Westphaliae“, welche bis 1622 reicht, und ein „Westphälisch Adelich Stammbuch“, welches J. D. v. Steinen zusammen mit Joh. Hobbeling's „Beschreibung des ganzen Stifts Münster“, Dortmund bei G. D. Bädecker 1742 in 8. herausgegeben hat.
