  • Biographical Presentation

    Jelpke: Johann Wilhelm J., geb. im J. 1717 zu Braunschweig, wo er im J. 1747 Conrector am Gymnasium und 1761 Professor am Collegium Carolinum ward. Er starb 1763. Von ihm giebt es einige Schäferspiele und ein ins braunschweiger Gesangbuch von J. 1779 aufgenommenes Morgenlied: „Es flieh'n die Schatten von der Erde“.
