    Holt: Johannes H., † am 29. Mai 1432, der erste Rostocker Docent, welcher geradezu als Professor der Theologie genannt wird, während nach päpstlicher Bestimmung eine theologische Facultät der Universität versagt war und erst 1432 gestattet und errichtet wurde. Er ist im Sommer 1427 als Docent nach Rostock gekommen und als Dr. theol. und Rector der Kirche zu „Wesenburg, Bremer Diöcese“, inscribirt, schon im Herbst wurde er Rector der Universität, zum zweiten Male 1429. Die Universität hatte einen Dominicaner, der Dr. theol. sei, gesucht, H. war aber Weltgeistlicher. Von Rostock kam er als Nachfolger Heinrichs v. Gheismar 1431 nach Hamburg als Canonicus und Lector Primarius am Dom.
