  • Biographical Presentation

    Henisch: Karl Franz H., beliebter Komiker in derben Stücken, geb. 1745 zu Wien, wurde 1772 in Prag, 1773 bei Koch in Berlin, 1775 bei Wäser engagirt und starb als Mitglied von dessen Gesellschaft am 13. Decbr. 1776 zu Potsdam. Von ihm verfaßt sind die komische Operette „Der Bassa von Tunis" (1774) und die beiden komischen Opern „Der Zauberer“ (1772) und „Das Schnupftuch“ (1773). Seine Frau Karoline, geb. Gieraneck, Schwester der Mad. Koch, sang mit vieler Fertigkeit und gab erste Rollen in Komödie, Tragödie und Oper.
