  • Biographical Presentation

    Hamel: Adam H., aus Bahn in Pommern gebürtig, wo sein Vater Prediger war, wurde um das J. 1570 Professor der Poesie und Prediger zu St. Nicolai in Greifswalde, ging im J. 1582 als Praepositus nach Cöslin und starb hier 1592. Von ihm befinden sich mehrere Lieder im Greifswalder Gesangbuch vom J. 1587 und in dem vom J. 1592. Die ursprünglich hochdeutsch gedichteten Lieder sind hernach theilweise ins Plattdeutsche übertragen.
