Biographical Presentation
Hahn: Johann Zacharias Hermann H., Enkel des am 21. Mai 1726 zu Dresden ermordeten Predigers Hermann Joachim H. (vgl. Adelung II, Sp. 1733 ff.), am 18. Aug. 1768 zu Schneeberg geboren, ward Prediger in Schneeberg und starb am 22. Novbr. 1826 als Consistorialassessor und Superintendent in Gera. Er ist Dichter von mehr als zwanzig geistlichen Liedern, von welchen mehrere in Gemeindegesangbücher aufgenommen sind und sich theilweise noch in ihnen finden. Schon im Gesangbuche der Leipziger Freischule (1793) sind Lieder von ihm; hernach u. a. im Geraer Gesangbuch von 1822, eins noch im Hamburger von 1842.
