Biographical Presentation
Grebner: Leonhard G., geb. zu Würzburg am 6. Mai 1694, † zu Bamberg am 2. September 1742, trat im J. 1711 in den Jesuitenorden, docirte in Heidelberg (wo er 1725 Decan und Professor der Philosophie war) und Würzburg die Theologie, von 1732—38 canonisches Recht in Bamberg. Schriften: „Chronographia ex principiis astronomicis ad usum vitae civilis accomodata, s. discursus de tempore astronomico, politico, ecclesiastico, et correctione Calendarii“, 1725. „Tract. historico-juridicus de statu ecclesiae et juris ecclesiastici observantia sub regum et imperatorum stirpis Carolingicae imperio. Cum selectis observat.“, 1739 Fol., 1755. 4. Ein Buch, das tendenziös zu großem Ansehn bei den Ultramontanen gelangte. „Dissertatio de sincera ac secura artis diplom. ac numismat. crisi.“, 1742. 4.
