    Gockel: Eberhard G., Arzt, 1636 in Ulm geboren, zuerst in Giengen später in Ulm habilitirt, einer der eifrigsten und bekanntesten Anhänger der Chemiatrie in Deutschland, erfreute sich eines großen Rufes als Heilkünstler, so daß er zum Leibarzte des Herzogs von Würtemberg ernannt wurde. Sein Todesjahr ist nicht bekannt. Ein Verzeichniß seiner Schriften, die von Beweisen äußerster Leichtgläubigkeit, Geschmacklosigkeit und baarem Unsinn strotzen, findet sich in Haller, Bibl. chir. I. S. 373 und Bibl. med.-pract. III. S. 160.
