  • Biographical Presentation

    Baader: Tobias B., Bildhauer zu München in der Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts, war für bairische Kirchen und Klöster thätig, u. A. für Attl und Schlehdorf. Einen Namen hat er sich besonders durch das Bild der schmerzhaften Mutter Gottes in der Herzogspitalkirche zu München gemacht, das im J. 1690 mehrmals vor vielen Personen die Augen verdreht haben soll. Seitdem gilt es als wunderthätig. In der Sakristei derselben Kirche befindet sich das Bildniß des Künstlers.
