    Finck: Kaspar F., geboren am 19. October 1578 zu Gießen, gestorben am 25. Juni 1631 zu Koburg, mußte durch Singen vor den Thüren sein Brot verdienen, bis er 1588 nach Marburg kam, wo er später Unterricht gab. 1599 promovirte er als Magister und wurde 1607 Professor der Physik, Metaphysik, Logik und Rhetorik. 14 verschiedene Vocationen zu Pfarr- und Kirchendiensten|lehnte er ab, bis er endlich zum Professor der Theologie ernannt wurde. Herzog Johann Casimir übertrug ihm im J. 1616 die Stelle als Generalsuperintendent zu Koburg. Er hat eine ungemeine Menge von Schriften verfaßt, welche in J. C. Thomä's Das der ganzen evangelischen Kirche, insonderheit — Koburg aufgegangene Licht am Abend (Koburg 1722, S. 385 ff.) aufgeführt sind.
