  • Biographical Presentation

    A. studierte in Marburg, wo er 1744 Magister wurde und wirkte seit 1756 als Professor der griechischen Sprache und Prediger der reformierten Gemeinde zu Rinteln an der dortigen Universität. Literarisch war er vorwiegend auf dem Gebiete der dogmatischen Theologie tätig; kurz vor seinem Tode begann er mit einer systematischen Widerlegung der Wolfenbüttler Fragmente (Lessing), von der jedoch nur noch der erste Teil erschien.
