Biographical Presentation
Ewald: Wilhelm Ernst E., geb. den 18. Dec. 1704 zu Wächtersbach in der reformirten Grafschaft Isenburg-Büdingen, gest. den 15. Mai 1741 in Bremerlehn. Ein talentvoller Schüler Campe's, der 1728 reformirter Prediger zu Altona bei Hamburg, 1732 Pastor in Bremerlehn wurde. Schrieb „Der würdige Tischgenoß des Herrn, gesprächsweise aufgestellet etc.“, 1775 etc., und „Emblemata sacra etc.“. Von seinen Liedern hat Kraft im reformirten Wochenblatt 1853 Nr. 51 mitgetheilt: „O Lebensocean, mein Bräutigam etc.“.
