  • Biographical Presentation

    E. erhielt seine Ausbildung bei seinem Onkel J. G. Bergmüller in Augsburg, wo er Juli 1756 Meister wurde. Belegt ist seine Beteiligung an den Ausstellungen der Stadtakademie 1784 und 1786. – E. führte die Tradition Bergmüllers fort und war in der 2. Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts neben Matthias Günther und Johann Josef Anton Huber der bedeutendste Freskomaler Augsburgs.
