Biographical Presentation
Eisengrin: Wilhelm E., ein Zeitgenosse des vorigen und Domherr in Speier, schrieb: „De Romanis Pontificibus. — Chronologicarum rerum .... civitatis Spirae a Christo nato usque a. 1563 libri XVI“ (Dillingen 1563). — Seine bekannteste Leistung ist das von ihm gegen die Magdeburger Centuriatoren ins Werk gesetzte Unternehmen, in dessen Ausführung er aber nicht über zwei Centurien hinauskam (Dillingen 1566 und 1568). Der „Catalogus testium veritatis“ (Dillingen 1665) ist als Einleitung zu diesem Unternehmen anzusehen.
