Meißen stammt und später auch in Schlesien, Brandenburg und Kurland begütert war, stammen u. a.: →Gotthilf August (1794–1837), Schriftsteller, Herausgeber des „Norddeutschen Courier“ (1829-31) (s. L), Peter, russ. Gesandter (s. Dipl. Vertr. III), und dessen Söhne →Friedrich (1794–1857), russ. Gesandter im Haag, Schriftsteller (s. L), und →Friedrich Apollonius (1795–1870), russ. Diplomat, seit 1841 in Weimar, Schriftsteller (s. L).
