    Hartman: Thomas H., Archidiaconus zu Eisleben, gab im J. 1604 in eignem Verlage eine Sammlung geistlicher Lieder heraus unter dem Titel: „Der kleine Christenschild“. Wackernagel hat nachgewiesen, daß die in dieser Sammlung Hartman's Namen tragenden Lieder meistens nur Veränderungen älterer Lieder sind. Doch fanden diese Lieder in der Gestalt, die H. ihnen gab, theilweise hernach weitere Verbreitung. Vierzig derselben hat Wackernagel im 5. Bande seines „Deutschen Kirchenliedes“ abgedruckt (Nr. 470 bis 509).
