  • Biographical Presentation

    Sagner: Kaspar S., gelehrter Jesuit, geboren am 9. Mai 1721 zu Neumark in Schlesien, † am 10. Januar (nach anderen 17. Jan.) 1781 zu Prag. Mit 16 Jahren trat er 1737 dem Orden bei und wurde sofort im Lehramte in verschiedenen Fächern verwandt. Während fünf Jahre 1747—1752 lehrte er in Madrid Mathematik, dann kehrte er als Decan der philosophischen Facultät nach Prag zurück. Seit 1756 Doctor der Theologie las er über kanonisches Recht. Nach Aufhebung des Jesuitenordens wurde er Präses des Seminars bei St. Wenzel in Prag. Seine „Institutiones philosophicae“ sind wiederholt aufgelegt.
