  • Biographical Presentation

    During: Peter D., auch Durnig genannt. Bedeutender Goldschmied und Siegelschneider, der um 1440—1475 in Wien thätig war. Einige seiner Werke haben sich erhalten, darunter das prachtvolle große Wiener Stadtsiegel aus dem J. 1464, eine Arbeit von trefflicher Zeichnung und Ausführung. Im J. 1470 kaufte er in der innern Stadt das Haus Nr. 1142; nähere Daten über sein Leben fehlen.
