  • Biographical Presentation

    Düsterwald. Köln hat drei Glockengießer dieses Namens aufzuweisen: Johann, Christian und Gerhard. Johann lebte am Ende des 14. Jahrhunderts. Im J. 1380 goß er eine Glocke der St. Severinskirche, wozu der Canonicus Dr. Johannes de Cervo einen Theil der Mittel bot; im J. 1400 goß er eine Glocke in Neuß. Gerhard und Christian waren wahrscheinlich seine Söhne. Beide gossen gemeinschaftlich 1418 eine Glocke der St. Peterskirche. Von Christian kennen wir eine Glocke in St. Johann auf der Severinstraße, 1403, eine in St. Peter, 1416, eine Uhrglocke im Rathhause, zwei Glocken in St. Kunibert, 1413.
