Englert: M. Johann Matthäus E., geb. 14. Jan. 1661 in Schweinfurt, daselbst Inspector am Alumneum, Gymnasium, Archidiaconus und Oberpfarrer, † den 24. Novbr. 1732. „Ein exemplarischer Kirchenengel nach den Requisiten Luther's: oratio, meditatio, tentatio, von dem sich einige Lieder in baierischen Gesangbüchern erhalten haben.“
