  • Biographical Presentation

    Holtzclau: Thomas H., geb. zu Hadamar am 23. Decbr. 1716, seit 1736 dem Jesuitenorden angehörig, † 1783, wirkte lebenslänglich in Würzburg und zwar zuerst als Lehrer der Physik und Metaphysik, sodann der Theologie und des canonischen Rechtes. Er ist Mitverfasser der „Theologia Wirceburgensis“, eines von den damaligen Würzburger Professoren der Theologie (außer H. noch H. Kilber, Jg. Neubauer, Ulr. Munier) abgefaßten „Cursus theologiae“ (Würzburg 1766—71, in 14 Voll., neue Ausgabe Paris 1852 ff., 10 Voll.), von welchem ihm die Tractate „De Verbo Dei incarnato“, „De jure et justitia“, sowie zum größeren Theile die „Doctrina de Sacramentis“ angehören.
