    Eckolt: Amadeus E. (Eckhold), Rechtsgelehrter, geb. 25. Jan. 1623 zu Wels in Oesterreich, † 20. November 1668 in Leipzig. Nachdem er in Leipzig 1644 die philosophische Magisterwürde erlangt hatte, wandte er sich dem|juristischen Studium zu, bereiste die Universitäten Tübingen, Basel, Freiburg, Straßburg, Ingolstadt, Altorf, promovirte 1652 in Leipzig und ward hier 1660 Professor der Rechte, 1664 Collegiat des kleinen Fürstencollegs, auch bald darauf Beisitzer des Hofgerichts. Außer akademischen Gelegenheitsschriften verfaßte er: „Commentationes ad Pandectas“, 1680, 1694.
