    Dilger: Daniel D., lutherischer Theolog des 17. Jahrhunderts, geb. zu Danzig, „Feldprediger, seit 1598 Prediger zu St. Katharina und St. Marien in seiner Vaterstadt, Freund und Verehrer von Johann Arndt, dessen Wahres Christenthum und Paradiesgärtlein er von der Kanzel empfiehlt, wodurch er sich die leidenschaftlichen Angriffe seines Collegen Dr. Johann Rabe (Corvinus) zuzieht 1618 ff. Er stirbt als pastor emeritus nach 50jähriger Amtsführung den 26. Febr. 1643. — Verfasser einer Schrift über Arndt's Wahres Christenthum 1620 und einer „Schola poenitentiae“.
