Richerz: Georg Hermann N., geboren am 1. April 1756 zu Lübeck, war eine Zeit lang Universitätsprediger zu Göttingen, dann Pastor zu Harpstädt in der Grafschaft Hoya, zuletzt Superintendent zu Gifhorn in Hannover, † am 7. Juli 1791. Winer, Handb. der theol. Lit., Bd. II., S. 732. Schlichtegroll, Nekrolog auf 1791 I, 264 f. Er übersetzte den Jesaiascommentar von Rob. Lowth aus dem Englischen in das Deutsche, welche Arbeit dann von J. B. Koppe mit Zusätzen und Anmerkungen versehen wurde (4 Bde. 1779—81), vgl. darüber Meyer. Gesch. der Schrifterklärung, Bd. 5. S. 712. Anm. 49. Eichhorn, Allg. Bibl. der bibl. Lit., Bd. I, S. 723, wo die Uebersetzung gelobt wird. — Die Titel von Predigten, die von ihm veröffentlicht worden sind, findet man bei Winer a. a.
