    Gradmann: Johann Jakob G., geb. zu Ravensburg am 28. Dec. 1750, † allda am 31. Januar 1817 als zweiter evangelischer Pfarrer, Consistorial-, Kirchen- und Schulrath. Er war ein fruchtbarer Schriftsteller nicht blos auf pastoralem Felde ("Lebensgeschichte Jesu", „Hausbibel", „Andachtsbuch", „Gott in der Natur“ etc.), sondern auch im Gebiete des Humanismus überhaupt ("Sentenzen-Almanach“, „Knigge im Kleinen“ etc.). Bedeutung auch für spätere Zeit hat jedoch nur sein „Gelehrtes Schwaben oder Lexikon der jetzt lebenden schwäbischen Schriftsteller“, Ravensburg 1802.
