Biographical Presentation
Canz: Eberhard Christoph C., würtembergischer Rechtsgelehrter, Sohn des Theologen und Philosophen Israel Gottlieb C. (s. u.), geb. 12. Nov. 1720 (nicht 1726) zu Nürtingen (nicht Bebenhausen, auch nicht Tübingen), starb 16. Nov. 1773. Er studirte in Tübingen und wurde daselbst 1744 Hofgerichtsadvocat, 1745 Licentiat der Rechte, 1755 außerordentlicher, 1759 ordentlicher Professor der Rechte, dann auch herzoglicher Rath, Doctor beider Rechte und der Philosophie. Außer einigen akademischen Dissertationen ist seine Hauptschrift: „Tractatio synoptica de probabilitate iuridica sive de praesumtione“, 1751.
