Biographical Presentation
Kern: Gottlob Christian K., Bruder von Friedrich Heinrich K., Theolog, geb. zu Söhnstetten auf der schwäbischen Alb am 13. Januar 1792. † als Pfarrer in Dürrmenz an der Enz am 5. August 1885, nachdem er von 1824—29 Professor am Seminar Schönthal gewesen war. Sein Schüler Wilh. Hofffmann gab mit L. Völter 1837 Kern's Predigten heraus; über seine geistlichen Lieder vgl. Koch's Kirchenlied, wo auch eine Biographie.
