Biographical Presentation
Parrot: Christoph Friedrich P., geboren am 28. Juli 1751 zu Mömpelgard. Er widmete sich in Tübingen der Theologie, daneben auch seinen Lieblingsstudien, Oekonomie und Mathematik, wurde dann Hauslehrer in einigen adeligen Familien, 1782 a. o. Professor der Philosophie in Erlangen, 1801 mit dem Charakter eines Regierungsraths geh. Secretär in Stuttgart, später Oberamtmann, zugleich Kameralverwalter und Amtsschreiber in Schmidelfeld, 1808 Oberamtmann in Marbach, 1810 Oberamtmann in Hornberg; † zu Eßlingen am 28. Februar 1812. Er ist der Verfasser einer Reihe, vorzugsweise mehr populärer Schriften im Gebiet der Mathematik, Physik, Geographie, Astronomie, der Cameral- und Polizeiwissenschaft.
