Pressel: Dr. Theodor P., geb. am 26. November 1819 zu Tübingen, † als Decan in Schorndorf am 30. Januar 1877. Als Kirchenhistoriker insbesondere im Gebiete der Reformationsgeschichte ist er Verfasser beziehungsweise Herausgeber folgender Schriften: „Zustände des Protestantismus in Frankreich“ (1848); „Joannis Tzetzae epistolae“ (1851); „Joachim Vadian“ (1861); „Ambrosius Blaurer“ (1861); „Ambrosius Blaurer's, des schwäbischen Reformators Leben und Schriften“ (1861); „Justus Jonas, Kaspar Cruciger, Paulus Speratus, Lazarus Spengler, Nicolaus von Amsdorf, Paul Eber, Martin Chemnitz, David Chyträus“, je 1862, zusammen den VIII. (Supplement-) Theil des Sammelwerkes „Leben und ausgewählte Schriften der Väter und Begründer|der lutherischen Kirche“ bildend; „Anecdota Brentiana, ungedr. Briefe und Bedenken von Joh. Brenz“ (1868); Jakob Andreä (in den Jahrb. für deutsche Theologie. 1877).
