Biographical Presentation
Reinhard, Scholasticus in St. Burchard zu Würzburg, soll um das Jahr 935 einen ausführlichen Commentar zu den Kategorien des Aristoteles geschrieben haben, worin auch gelegentlich einer aristotelischen Stelle die Veranlassung hätte liegen können, daß er ein Buch über die Quadratur des Cirkels verfaßt habe. Doch da das Ganze auf einer nicht sehr lautern Quelle, nämlich auf einer Angabe des Trithemius beruht, bleiben immerhin Zweifel möglich.
