Biographical Presentation
Deusing: Hermann D., geb. am 14. März 1654 zu Gröningen, Sohn des Mediciners Anton D., von dem späteren Leydener Professor Christ. Wittich privatim vorbereitet, studirte seit 1670 Jura, machte 1682 wissenschaftliche Reisen durch Holland und Deutschland. Von Cocceji's Schriften angezogen, gab er sich theologischen Studien hin. Als alttestamentlicher Ausleger folgte er ganz der allegorisirenden Richtung dieser Schule, vorzugsweise in seinem „Moses evangelizans“, 1719. Seine „Demonstratio allegoriae historiae V. et N. T. juncta revelatione mysterii SS. Triados“ zog ihm die Excommunication zu. Er starb den 3. Jan. 1722 als Privatgelehrter.
