Biographical Presentation
Drion: Karl D., alsatischer Historiograph, zu Barr im Elsaß 8. Decbr. 1796 geboren, zu Straßburg den 29. Novbr. 1867 gestorben. Er war Präsident des Civilcabinets in Schlettstadt und während 15 Jahren Mitglied des oberen protestantischen Consistoriums. — Seine Bildung verdankte er zum Theile Deutschland; aber seine historischen Abhandlungen, unter andern seine „Chronologische Geschichte der protestantischen Kirche in Frankreich, von ihrem Ursprung bis auf den Wiederruf des Edicts von Nantes“ (2 Bde. 1855), sind in französischer Sprache geschrieben. — Er übersetzte als Jurist den französischen Forstcodex ins Deutsche.
