    Stamm: Joh. Gottlieb Samuel St., Landschaftsmaler und Kupferstecher, geboren 1763 zu Meißen, † am 12. Januar 1814 zu Dresden. St., von 1783—1789 Schüler Klengel's in Dresden und eine Zeitlang im Dienste des Fürsten von Schönburg in Waldenburg thätig, lebte den größten Theil seines Lebens in Dresden, wo er Landschaften, hauptsächlich aus der Umgebung der Stadt malte, in Sepiamanier zeichnete oder in Kupfer stach.
