Biographical Presentation
Auch über den dritten Hochmeister Heinrich (nicht, wie einzelne Quellen angeben, Hermann) ist nur weniges sicher. Er regierte nur kurze Zeit. Wenn die angenommene Herkunft aus einem thüringischen Ministerialengeschlecht (Heinrich Bart von Tunna) stimmt, so ist H. 1206 und 1208 bezeugt. Er pilgerte 1208 in das Heilige Land, trat dort in den Deutschen Orden ein und wurde bereits 1209 Hochmeister. Die Ursache seines schnellen Aufstiegs ist ungeklärt.
