  • Biographical Presentation

    Stude: Justus oder Jodocus St. von Elsa bei Hadamar, wurde am 1. Juli 1536 Professor der Institutionen in Marburg, als Nachfolger des Joh. Rudel, und war 1538 und 1543 Rector der Universität. Daneben fungirte er als Rath und Hofgerichtsbeisitzer. 1545 verließ er Marburg und ging als Kanzler mit dem Fürstabt Philipp Schenck v. Schweinsberg nach Fulda. 1562 zog er sich nach Frankfurt a. M. zurück, wo er am 11. Juli 1570 starb.
