Biographical Presentation
Hörnigk: Ludwig v. H. aus Darmstadt, studirte erst die Rechtswissenschaft, dann Medicin in Gießen, wurde in Straßburg Doctor der Medicin, 1628 Comes Palatinus, 1639 Doctor der Rechte in Marburg, kaiserlicher Rath und kurmainzischer Hofrath, trat 1647 in Wien zur katholischen Kirche über, ward geadelt, starb zu Mainz 1667. Es werden von ihm mehrere medicinische Schriften erwähnt, besonders aber auch „Tract. de commissariis et commissionibus" — „Oratio de Doctoribus bullatis“ 1630. — „Stella notariorum“ 1654 u. ö. — „De regali jure Postarum“ Marb. 1639, Viennae 1649, Frankfurt 1663.
